COACHES
Being an AK rugby coach means more than just teaching the basics of the sport. It means being a leader, a mentor, and a role model for your players. As a coach, you have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of your players, both on and off the field.
To be an AK rugby coach, you must have a deep understanding of the game and the skills necessary to teach it effectively. You must also be able to motivate your players and instill a sense of discipline and teamwork.
AK rugby coaches must be committed to their players and their development, both as athletes and as individuals. They must foster a positive and supportive team culture, where players feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
In addition to teaching the skills and strategies of the game, AK rugby coaches must also prioritize safety and injury prevention. They should be knowledgeable about proper conditioning, nutrition, and recovery practices, and prioritize the health and well-being of their players.
Overall, being an AK rugby coach is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for the sport. If you are dedicated to your players and committed to their success, it shows on and off the field.

What it means to be an AK Coach: Rugby for me is about playing hard but fair and having unforgettable fun times together as a team and club. I believe that AK rugby is about creating a Club to coach, develop, mentor and train High School boys to play the sport of rugby, in a safe and fun environment.
-
Outside of rugby: Our family likes to travel and go on fun adventures as a family. Fun fact, over the past fifteen years we have lived in both hemispheres, 3 continents and 4 countries, and picked up 4 kids and a dog along the way!

What it means to be an AK Coach: Rugby for me is giving back to the sport which has been good to myself and volunteering to pass on my love of the game through knowledge & experience. AK rugby is about growing the game and club and developing the High school boys to play in a full contact technically challenging sport in a safe and fun environment.
